In just the first three days of becoming available on Xbox Live the Resident Evil 5 demo was downloaded 1.3 million times! And at the end of the week garnering 1.8 million downloads in total. According to Microsoft it placed "among the top demo launches on the service." While in Japan over 53% of Xbox Live Gold members downloaded the demo. Just imagine if the demo didn't have a limited window of availability.
